Periodic Fluorescence Variations of CdSe Quantum Dots Coupled to Aryleneethynylenes with Aggregation-Induced Emission

نویسندگان

چکیده

CdSe nanocrystals and aggregates of an aryleneethynylene derivative are assembled into a hybrid thin film with dual fluorescence from both fluorophores. Under continuous excitation, the molecules exhibit anticorrelated intensity variations, which become periodic at low temperature. We attribute this to structure-dependent aggregation-induced emission derivative, impacts rate excitation energy transfer between nanocrystals. This work highlights that combining semiconductor molecular aggregates, emission, can result in emerging optical properties.

Bright CdSe/ZnSe nanowire-quantum dots for single photons emission

Semiconductor nanowires (NW) are appealing structures that allow designing quantum structure with unprecedented freedom. With NW, new type of quantum dot (QD) heterostructures (NW-QD) can be directly grown on defined positions without the necessity of self-assembly, as well as more complex structures such as coupled QDs or core-shell structure. However, the quantum confinement requires growing ...

Wavelength and polarization variations of InAs/GaAs quantum dots emission at liquid Helium temperature via microphotoluminescence spectroscopy

In this paper, we investigate variation of the wavelength, intensity and polarization of the self-assembled InAs/GaAs quantum dots emission by microphotoluminescence spectroscopy at the liquid helium temperature. The microcavity wafer sample is grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and chemically etched into the micropillar structure (with elliptical cross section - long and short axis 2µm×1.5µ...

Anomalous photo-induced spectral changes in CdSe=ZnS quantum dots

We study photo-induced static and dynamic spectral changes in self-assembled CdSe=ZnS quantum dot (QD) thin films with varying QD concentrations under ambient conditions. Using spatially resolved scanning photoluminescence microscopy in conjunction with spectrally resolved time-correlated photon counting, we measure the variations in spectral intensity, emission wavelength, and recombination li...

Evidence for ligand-induced paramagnetism in CdSe quantum dots.

We report evidence that paramagnetism in CdSe QDs can be induced via manipulation of the surface chemistry. Using SQUID magnetometry and X-ray absorption spectroscopy, we demonstrate that the paramagnetic behavior of the CdSe QDs can be varied by changing the ligand end-group functionality of the passivating layer. Contrary to previous reports, no evidence for ferromagnetism was observed. The r...
